Jones Memorial Library is open to the public five days a week and by prior appointment:
Tuesday 12:00 – 8:00
Wednesday – Friday, 1:00 – 5:00
Saturday 9:00 – 5:00
As a specialized library, services are open to all patrons conducting research with the collections. Children under the age of 12 are welcome with a parent or guardian.
With advance notice of your research interests, our staff can maximize your time at the library. Use the form at the bottom of the page to help us plan for your visit.
Visitors are asked to sign our guest register and to have a short intake interview with our research staff at the Information Desk. Our collections are large, and we want to help identify the most relevant materials for your research.
Materials do not circulate and must be used in the Reading Room.When access to fragile or rare materials is requested, researchers may be asked by staff to produce a valid photo ID. Guests who do not handle items with care may have restrictions placed on their use of materials.

Jones Memorial Library is located at 2311 Memorial Avenue.
We are on the second floor above the Lynchburg Public Library.
Enter at the corner of Memorial Avenue and Lakeside Drive. The library is accessible by elevator or stairs. Individuals in need of assistance should use the intercom to the left of the door.
Parking is available free of charge in the lot next to the Lynchburg Public Library.
